| Robert "Pikin" Quiroga (20-2-, 11 KO) and "Kid" Akeem Anifowoshe (23-1, 18 KO) met in an epic battle on June 15, 1991. They fought a 12-rounder for the IBF Super Flyweight Title. The fight was named the Ring Magazine Fight of the Year for 1991. Quiroga won by decision, but both boxers ended up in the hospital.
